Well Christmas is less than a week away and I just feel like I can't get into the Christmas spirit of things. Between what's going on in my very hectic personal life and all the crazy things going on in the world I seem to have lost the Christmas spirit that usually comes with this time of year. I am going to wrap gifts this weekend so I am hoping that this helps me get into a more Christmas kind of mood!! :)

Baby Blues

Well.........as most of you know Aaron and I had a little surprise last week in that we found out that we are going to have a baby!! SURPRISE!! So the wedding is still on for June 20, 2009 only now I will be 8 months pregnant..........which comes with it's own headaches let alone now I need a new dress plus we get to figure out how to afford a baby and a wedding in a 2 month time span!! So we've made some cut-backs to allow for a little more spending money and I'm starting to think that we might actually be able to do this. I'm not sure if this is the case or if I am just so set on being able to have this wedding that I am going to kid myself all the way through!!

Don't use priceline

Originally Jeremy and Destiny booked thier honeymoon through priceline. They then got a call the day of thier wedding from the hotel cancelling their reservation due to evacuations because a hurricane was heading that way. So they booked a new honeymoon in a rush on the day they were to be married. Talk about stress!! So now priceline will only refund them the money for the hotel but the other $1200 or so dollars they spent on the rest of the trip priceline is keeping because they didn't buy the insurance. What were they supposed to do go down and spend their honeymoon sleeping in a car on the side of the road the hotels were evacuating for goodness sake!! The problem is Price Line has already received their money. They have an agreement with American Express that no funds will be withheld and they are not giving in. So the point of this post is to let everyone know what a FRAUD I think that priceline is!! It would have been one thing if they had booked it and then decided to go somewhere else but there was a hurricane!! Evacuations were being called for!! and they had no choice in the matter!! So Priceline, you will at the very least never get my business!!!

Jeremy Leaves for Qatar

Today Jeremy leaves for Qatar..................I am such a baby about this I keep crying randomly throughout the day. I am sure my parents are having a harder time with it than I am. But I've been doing my research and it seems like Qatar isn't that scary of a place for him to go. But then I see things like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efcHPyfDWDY and I figure maybe it won't be so bad. But I will miss and love my brother while he's gone and wait for his safe return!!

Destiny and Jeremy's Wedding

My baby brother is set to be deployed from the US Air Force on October 10, 2008. He proposed to my beautiful new sister-in-law on her 21st birthday on July 18, 2008. My baby brother Jeremy Van Ness had his wedding on September 6, 2008 at 6:00pm. It was rainy and cold and their honeymoon destination cancelled the hotel on them due to a coming hurricane. So on his wedding day, just hours before he was to be married my little brother is trying to schedule a new honeymoon for him and his new bride!! They ended up going to San Diego where the hotel they booked was not quite what it was made up to be in the pictures and the hotel had construction going on!! What a honeymoon this was turning out to be!! Then Destiny, my new sister-in-law finds out that her debit card had been compromised and someone was out trying to spend her money!! So they had to cancel her account and moving money over to Jeremy's account, sweet talk the car rental company into letting them rent a car since neither of them is 25, and switch hotels!!
